Step-by-step instructions
- Step 01
Go to Posts → All Posts, choose the article and open the editor.
- Step 02
Open the Post settings sidebar, not the selected paragraph's Block settings.
- Step 03
Find Featured Image, choose Set featured image and upload or select a suitable image.
- Step 04
Add alt text that describes the image when it conveys useful information; avoid stuffing keywords into alt text.
- Step 05
Use a consistent landscape shape for article cards, such as about 1200 × 630 pixels if your theme suits it.
- Step 06
Save/Update the post, then check its card in the Latest Articles Query Loop.
- Step 07
If the image appears twice on the single post, check whether your theme already displays featured images before adding an Image block into the body.
Before you finish: important checks
- Featured Image is not automatically the same as an inline Image block.
Common problems and fixes
- Image not visible on Home? Check that Query Loop includes a Post Featured Image block.
- Image cropped oddly? Adjust the theme/block image aspect ratio or upload a suitable composition.
